"Precious Things" -- Creating Lyon and Blair

Well, well... Anyone who does follow my silly little random blog is going to meet two new characters who are in the infancy of their development: Lyon White and Blair Freeman. (Would she be Freeman b/c of Clay, or would she keep her natural last name, Frankford?) I may also get a little into Tabitha "Tabby" White and her LI, Mathew "Matt" Belvari. As always, names and details are prone to change by the time these stories officially release.

First up, Lyon and Blair:

This is a present day image of the two characters. They've definitely mellowed their appearances from when they first met, though that doesn't mean *all* their tastes have changed. ;)

This is how Blair looked when she and Lyon met two years ago. He liked her enough that he actually kept her on tour with The Jungle Kings for the entire summer / fall / something of a year. Blair's siblings, Clay and Julia, weren't too keen on this, and Lyon's sister Tabby wasn't totally convinced that having Blair around was as much of a muse for Lyon as he claimed her to be. (Tabby got jealous of the attention her brother having a serious GF did to their relationship, even though Blair tried to be nice.)

Eventually Tabby succeeds in splitting them up by making it look like Lyon cheated on Blair (did he?), causing her to leave and their relationship to be over. After this, she returned to Alberta, met her boyfriend (the abusive jerk mentioned in "The Mansion You Stole" and moves to Maple Springs with Clay and Megan by the end of the book. That's where we find her at the beginning of this story.

Lyon White, lead guitarist of The Jungle Kings, may seem to have it totally together on stage. But the moment the music's over he is trapped firmly in the shadow of his twin sister, Tabby. Meeting Blair changes everything: with her, he doesn't just sometimes "matter". With Blair, Lyon actually feels like the sort of person he wants to be. But anything that *is* for Lyon is bound to take away from Tabby, so it's not long before his scheming twin is trying to find a way to get things back to the status quo.

After a drunken screw up where Blair leaves him after catching him with another girl, Lyon drifts aimlessly, producing the sound Tabby and the rest of his bandmates expect, but not really feeling much of anything.

Potential New Computer Design

Okay, let's set the record straight. I can be a bit like Darth Vader--fuck with me and you are gone. That's how I'm feeling about my PC right now. (YAY!) so it may be time to start researching the specs for a new one. For shits and giggles, I'm gonna link up a couple new designs and we'll see how they stack up. Why not? Beaster is 2.5 years old and I'm shocked I wasn't ready to replace it anyway.

8gb @ 1600 CL8? Not bad. I don't think I *need* 16?? (Would need to check if MB could handle it?) Used G-Skill RAM in current PC and performance has been good.

As you can see, replacement would NOT be impossible; it would only take time. Make sure to research more in depth if this becomes serious. And, btw, this is NOT a substitute for a laptop. What has happened here can NOT happen again. You should also look into cloud storage for further protection.
